Hello! I'm Allison Grodinsky, the founder and clinical director of Renew Resilience Counselling. I believe that everyone possesses innate resilience; sometimes, it just needs to be renewed and strengthened. I'm here to help you develop new skills and techniques to address various mental health concerns.

My priority is to support you in finding lasting, personalized strategies to manage your worries, achieve a sense of calm, and enhance your work-life balance. Together, we can improve your relationship with yourself and others. Your well-being and happiness are my top priorities!

Your needs are our priority, and we genuinely care about your well-being. Therapy is for you, and we welcome your feedback. If an approach isn't working, let your therapist know, and we’ll make adjustments to best support you.
Professionalism
Allison is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Adhering to a strict code of ethics, I prioritize your confidentiality, trust, and privacy. I stay current with new modalities through ongoing professional development.

Allison also offers student practicums to Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) who also follow their own strict code of ethics and are under supervision by a licensed mental health professional.

Flexibility
You can be honest if an approach isn't suiting your needs. Your therapist will adapt and be flexible with you, using various modalities.
If mindfulness isn’t your thing, we can try a solution-focused approach or explore cognitive behavioural therapy. Often, a combination works best. We are here to tailor the methods to fit your needs.

Therapy that works for you
Through personalized counselling, we'll work alongside you to develop a plan to achieve your mental wellness goals —often combining the practices of cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, EMDR, dialectical behavioural therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
